I have had a number of solo exhibitions and I have shown work with The Royal Scottish Academy, The South West Academy of Fine Art and the St Ives Society of Artists. I teach at the St Ives School of Painting and I deliver artist workshops in Schools. I have illustrated a number of books and websites, the most recent being “Song For The Forgotten” by Cornish author Natasha Carthew and published by National Trust Books.
I graduated from Falmouth University this year with an MA in Illustration: Authorial Practice, which I passed with distinction. I taught art for 15 years, 11 of them as Head of Dept, across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Prior to training as a teacher I had trained as an animator and worked in children’s television for 4 years, until the birth of my first child in 2003.
The combination of 15 years teaching art with a successful and ongoing career as an artist and illustrator places me in a unique position to deliver bespoke workshops, across a broad range of techniques and with traditional or digital media, to aspiring or experienced artists of all ages and abilities.
