Over the years this is one of the most common phrases I have heard about drawing. It seems many people think of it like a magical "gift" that you have to be born with; like a superpower.
Now, as an artist, I’d like to say this is absolutely right. But it isn’t. It’s a huge misconception and it is the biggest obstacle to enjoying drawing. So that’s the aim of this course; enjoying drawing.
It will give beginners a solid foundation of skills and the confidence to begin drawing for pleasure. For those who already draw, it will strengthen and refine your skills.
Whether it’s a pet, a boat or a cartoon you want to draw, and whether you genuinely believe you can’t draw, need some encouragement, some guidance or just want to do some drawing amongst friends, this is the right place for you.
I have worked as an animator, art teacher, artist and illustrator for more years than I can add up on my fingers AND toes....
In that time I have learnt a few things about drawing and I will share them with you in this workshop.
I will share one of them with you right now ...
Everyone can draw...
